Jands Vista: The basics

Here’s a quick tutorial video I recorded and scripted for my church in Tampa, FL.  It covers the basics of Jands Vista, including how to strike moving head lights with older lamps inside of them.

Jands VistaAs of a little over a year and a half ago, lighting has become a pretty good sized passion of mine. Jands Vista has definitely opened the doors to my understanding of lighting, and its user interface made things super simple to understand. Even just two years ago, I thought it was so cool how people could program these intense, complex lightshows. I thought I’d never be able to do something like that! But Jands Vista changed everything for me.

WordPress Optimization

I’ve been developing themes for WordPress for a couple years now, and the thing that I always notice with my own installations – and especially others as well, is speed and performance of the Front End. I often see post after post about different techniques of WordPress Optimization, but I rarely ever see the techniques that I’ve recently found. I’m not sure if people just haven’t gotten around to applying those techniques, or maybe WordPress devs don’t care as much about performance as they should.
